Book List Criteria
My Book Selection Criteria
I read or listen to over 100 books a year, both fiction and non-fiction. While many are excellent, only those that meet certain criteria make it to my recommended list:
- The book must be well-written and relevant to my work on natural followership and collaboration.
- The author should support their key arguments or experiences with solid evidence (facts, data, research) or clearly state when their claims are speculative.
- The structure and presentation of the book matter—it must be easy to follow and understand.
- I particularly appreciate books that ask thought-provoking questions, challenge the status quo, or offer new perspectives.
Also worth noting:
- As I’m dyslexic, I prefer audiobooks as I only read a handful of books each year.
